Sites like Facebook or edmodo may not be considered as safe any more because they have reached their threshold in number of ever increasing members. This is resulting in the invasion of people like Online fraudsters, hackers, spammers and virus attackers on such famous sites. I think you can go for new and fresh social networking sites like Google+, Corlif and Tumblr as they being new and fresh, are not much prone to online threats and are hence comparatively secure. I liked these new sites and I just hope that you will also like them. Happy Social Networking.
