What are your thoughts on spending too much time on your computer?

And i mean, in general, we all know it's not the healthiest choice, but how about those kids who spend hours in social networks like facebook, twitter, even tumblr, and it's very normal for most of them. What do you think it could be done so we would stop being to attached to technology and just being able to be free and enjoy life in a realistic way? is there any scape? or i'd become just anti -social for not using these things? what do you think.

You have to define too much time. As an adult, i spend most of my day on a computer. It is how I work, how I hear the news, how I read my books, how I listen to music and find new bands, do research, write papers, create art, etc, etc, etc.. So, am I really doing anything different than what most people do other than using a different medium? Instead of having a newspaper, a tv, a stereo system, a cabinet full of cds, a fold out road map, 40 different books checked out from the library, etc, etc, etc, etc, it is all on my computer.

Spending all day long on facebook is abuse of the technology. Parents should spend more time monitoring their children's online activities, and showing them how to be more productive with the internet.

I check my facebook every now and then to see what people are getting up to but I dont really post anything anymore because I found it a waste of time, same with twitter. I dont care if people think im being anti social.

However i think people spend too much time on their iphones because theres so much u can do with them. They rather interact with a phone than real people.
