Dell inspiron 14z will not turn on?
I got a new computer for christmas today and I immediately turned it on and set it up. Eventually I turned it off so I could do other things. When I came back to it and turned it on all it will do is show the dell logo and not go any farther in turning on. Help?

Hello, My name is Vijay and I work for Dell Social Media Outreach Team.

Regret to hear about the issue with new system.

Here are the steps to fix this:

1. Go to Boot Options
2. Change Secure Boot to Disabled
3. Change Boot List option to Legacy
4. Goto Advanced options
5. Ensure Sata mode is set to Intel Smart Response Technology
6. Exit save changes and Reset
7. You should get the Intel Option Rom option come up
8. Press Ctrl + I at this window
9. Press R to disable acceleration
10. Press 6 to Exit
11. Go back into Bios(F2)
12. Change Boot List option to UEFI
13. Change Secure Boot to Enabled
14. Exit save changes and reset

System should boot up Normally after these steps.

Please make sure Bios and drivers are updated

Please change the Windows Update settings, perform the beslow mentioned steps:
1. Windows Update settings
2. Press the Windows key and R
3. Type in control (You should get the control panel)
4. Choose System and Security > Windows Update > Change Settings and change it to "Never check for updates"
