In Facebook, Myspace, or Twitter, are people showing their real personality?
I read an article in the Wall street Journal about people on Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace that aren't really telling their status or true information about themselves. They are basically hiding their true identity. Is this correct?

A lot of people do seem to project alternate personalities so to speak. Kinda abstract, conceptual amalgams of everything they want to be or want others to think of them and then give the personality life by posting certain bulletins, using a certain picture etc.

It is sad.
