Want to get this girls number - Werid situation?

Here is the story:
I want to get this girls number. She goes to my college and we have a ton of 'mutual friends'. I have only met here once and the only person I really had connections with doesn't talk to me anymore. We are both friends on Facebook and Twitter. Should I do it by offering her/others to bring them back to my college after break or some other way like that? I don't know what to do!

I don't just want to message her for her number.. It would feel really awkward doing that and would put her on the spot.

hmmm yes a group hang would probably b the easiest way.... then when she is there try and talk to her randomly throughtout the night not all at once then at the end tell her you didnt really get a chance to talk but she seems cool or nice or whatever word u personally use and give her your number that way she can just take it and leave. if she likes u she calls if she doesnt u dont have to see her!
