What are the benefits to having a twitter or tumblr account?
What are the benefits to having a twitter account or tumblr and such?

I know they help connect with friends, but I don't have many friends that I really talk to anyway. What other benefits are there?

I don't get it either. I guess having hundreds of fake friends, er followers means something to these people.
