Are straight guys allowed to prefer straight sex over gay sex?
I am a straight man with many gay friends, but after watching the GoDaddy Super Bowl commercial where a pretty girl kisses a fat nerdy guy, which I found somewhat off-putting, my friend, who is known to not like gay people very much made a random comment on Facebook and I replied, which led to me getting some flak from my gay friend. Here's the conversation and I can wonder if you could tell me just how offensive or insensitive it is. I thought it was mildly insensitive at best.

Facebook initial comment by Lapis Lee: Thumbs down to GoDaddy commercial! Disgusting.

Larry G: Like watching gay guys make out... Yuck!

Lapis Lee: Half as bad as that.

James M: A very professional comment from 2 business owners.....UMMM ?

Lapis Lee: Yep, we're gay lovers in the big rainbow closet that is Lynchburg! /notreally

James M: Everyone is free to voice there opinions but wonder how it would affect your businesses if you both made these comments on your homepage - I didn't appreciate them !

Lapis Lee Which comments are you referring to again? The fact that I didn't like the GoDaddy commercial because it had a fat nerdy kid kissing a pretty girl or the fact that I prefer two girls kissing twice as much as I prefer two guys kissing? I am straight so it's only natural that I would have that preference. Not everyone is required to find gay intimacy as appealing as straight intimacy, particularly in public. I have no problem with gay or lesbian sex or intimacy but when I choose my porn it's always straight, because I find it twice as much of a turn on as gay porn, at least!
I would just like to point out that my name is "Lapis Lee" in the conversation, NOT Larry G.

There is a difference between preferring 'straight sex' over 'gay sex' and making offensive comments on Facebook.

Your first offensive comment was reasonable, you didn't like the commercial (but it's hardly unusual for the media to show a pretty girl with an unattractive guy, that's a common theme to appeal to guys who fancy themselves better-looking than the nerd in the ad.)

Your equating that with gay sex was when you started getting obnoxious. You didn't say, "I would rather watch a pretty girl kissing another pretty girl," you said, "gay guys, yuck."

You said it, own it. There's a difference between preference and offensive remarks, and you crossed the line.

Don't come HERE to justify yourself. You were wrong.

Eh, I'd rather not have women or straight sex shoved in my face either. The thing is, I wouldn't say anything unless asked. We know you're straight. You don't need to defend your sexuality by pointing that out. Call it a tasteless ad or whatever and be done.

Hey, there is a little rainbow in Lynchburg, it's just hidden a bit.
