PEOPLE RESPOND??? WHAT DO PEOPLE MEAN WHEN THEY SAY THAT YOU ONLY GET 160 CHARACTERS??? DOES THAT MEAN THAT EACH TIME YOU POST ON TWITTER YOU ONLY GET TO TYPE IN 160 TYPEWRITTEN LETTERS???

Actually, it's 140. (This way, it fits in a standard SMS text message, so people can send updates via cell phone.)

The whole idea of Twitter is *very* short updates regarding to what you're doing or thinking. I use it to keep track of a few interesting people and to promote my blog stuff - and, occasionally, to crack a joke.
