How do I reprogram my dish remote to the satellite with no receiver?
I was tired of having to get up to turn on the television so I programmed the remote to my tv. Now when I go to turn on the tv, the satellite doesn't work, it says receiver is turned off press select to turn it on, but when I press select it doesn't work and the receiver is in another room, its spliced from that room to this tv. I now know you can't have the remote programmed to both but now its too late the damage is done, question is, how doI undo it?

Hi Louie, my name is Kim and I am part of the DISH Social Media Team. I ran accross your post and will be happy to help you today. I understand you programmed your DISH remote to your T.v and currently is no longer working for your Satellite. This may be occuring because the remote is not under SAT mode. To make sure your remote is under SAT mode, press the clear SAT button at the top of the remote and then try pressing select on the screen it's asking you to. If this does not work try readressing the remote to the DISH receiver,

I have listed the steps below to assist with programming the remote to your TV. If you have any other questions, let me know at kimberly.escobar@dish.com!
1.) Bring the remote to where the receiver is. Bring up the System Info screen on that Tv (you will do this by pressing system info on the front of your receiver)
2.) Press and hold the clear SAT button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and SAT light will be blinking.
3.) press #. The SAT button should flash 3 times.
4.) With the remote that belongs at that location exit the System Info screen, then take the remote to the other room and try pressing select.

I hope this helps you! Have a great rest of your day! Let me know if you need further assistance.
