How bad must the US economy get to drive illegals back into their homeland?

If the US economy crashes compared to let's us say, Mexico where the unemployment now is lower, then just maybe the illegal immigration flow will crawl to a creep as the illegals start to go to greener pastures.

First, to set the record straight, I spent most of my adult life in Southern California. For how many many years has the media told us there are "12 million" illegals in USA? Nonsense, there are 12 million just in California. One has to learn a foreign language just to read the labels at the grocery store. A more accurate figure, Nationwide, would probably be more like 30-40 million. Let's say 10% of USA's population. They've taken over so many jobs in places like the Carolinas, Las Vegas NV, Seattle, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, St Louis MO, and I won't even mention New York City. Even North Dakota has "migrant workers", although they manage it pretty well, with the help of their famous winters.

Second; I keep hearing rumors that some are going back home but I find that hard to believe. Nobody has shown any hard evidence to support this assertion, that I have seen.
Mexico is a hellhole. Were it not for the escape valve of coming to America they would have already had the revolution they so desperately need. Factor in Obama's impending pseudo-amnesty, all the social programs available to them here, anchor babies, sanctuary cities, States which issue ID and drivers licenses to illegals &etc....

I seriously doubt any significant number will leave.
