well what do you want to do with this twitter account? You need a purpose, a target audience, and tweets that fit both of those before people will want to follow you. You also need to promote yourself on other social networks like facebook, youtube, foursquare, etc. Heck post to forums and blogs too!

Well first of all stop asking for followers here. I suggest you promote your self on other social networks, like facebook for example. Ask you friends there to also follow you on twitter.
