How to meet new people on twitter?

I want to meet new people on twitter? What is the best way of doing so? FYI I just joined twitter.

i like to follow people in real life around and get to know there habits and to see if we have any things in common and then ill follow them on twitter it has really made my twitter experience more enjoyable.

I would suggest you first learn how to use twitter, be a silent observer for a while. First you want to follow people in your country and then see how they interact with and follow then too- if you enjoy their tweets that is. Then you want to start following people in your area. i dont know what app you're using but I use ubersocial and it has the option of viewing "everyone near you" or you could just use search terms for example go to the search for tweets tab and type in a landmark close to you, like a mall/park/school, etc. this will obviously bring up tweets with the keyword in and these are people that live close to you.

You must interact with people, reply, retweet, etc.
