Small Business Twitter Advertising?
I am working for a small business which provides services; such as, lawn, house, handyman and car services. What are your opinion's on Twitter advertising? and what are some techniques or strategies to help the business? All opinions are welcome!

With social media, it is important to understand that it opens a two way street for communication. That sounds simple, but I see so many marketers using social media to advertise (i.e. tell customers something), and not really talk with them.
Whether it is Twitter or Facebook, you'll gain more attention posting information/content that educates the reader and leaves them with something. For example, when I lived in the Midwest, I had to make sure this time of year that I had windshield washer fluid in my car that would not freeze. Otherwise, what a mess. So, you could send a message out to your followers reminding them to do that, or maybe that it is time to fertilize the lawn, etc. This would make you more helpful to the customer than a competitor and may swing business your way. Make sure though, if you start this type of marketing that someone monitors it and answers questions. Followers/Friends may become disconnected if they ask a questions and it stays unanswered for a long time. Best Wishes! Ads |
