How do I take a screenshot on a Macbook?
There's this YouTube channel where you can take a screenshot of comments that are grammatically wrong and don't make any sense and post it on his facebook or twitter and he'll read the comment in the next video. I want to start posting screenshots on his facebook but I've never taken a screenshot. So please tell me how to take a screenshot on a Macbook and post it to a facebook page.

Take a picture of the whole screen
⌘-Shift-3

Take a picture of part of the screen
⌘-Shift-4, then drag to select the area you want in the picture.

To cancel, press Escape.

Take a picture of a window, a menu, the menu bar, or the Dock.
Press ⌘-Shift-4, then press the Space bar. Move the pointer over the area you want so that it's highlighted, then click.

To drag to select the area instead, press the Space bar again. To cancel, press Escape.

Screen shots are saved as files on the desktop. If you want to put the screen shot in the Clipboard, rather than create a file, hold down the Control key when you press the other keys. You can then paste the picture into a document.

You can also take pictures of the screen using the Grab application (in the Utilities folder).

Some applications, such as DVD Player, may not let you take pictures of the screen.....

Here's How You Post It On FB:

Get to the Profile

There is an option to "Post" on the wall, Just Besides that, there will be an option "Photo"

Click on "Photo" click on the "+" sign, select the destination file & upload it ....

Hope this helps ..... good luck Smile

If you have an error message pop up on your screen, troubleshooting the issue is easier if you have the exact wording of the error. Taking a screen shot of the error will help technical support representatives get to the root of your problem. Screen shots also are useful if you want to keep a picture of a confirmation page when you purchase something online and don't want to print the page. The process for taking a screen shot is the same for nearly all versions of Mac OS on a MacBook.
