Deactivated facebook but still shows up in search engines and i still get emails?

I had deactivated my Facebook months ago. And haven't logged back in at all. But when my name is searched on Google, apparently my profile pops up (picture and name) and I'm also still getting emails updating me about when I recieved messages or when someone has an upcoming birthday.

Did I do something wrong, or is this all normal?

Showing up in search engines is normal because they have indexed the site before you deactivated your account, so they still have a copy of it. The fact that you are still getting emails from Facebook is because when you chose to deactivate your account, you did not check the box to stop receiving emails.
