Can somebody give me a detailed step-by step way to send other peoples' twitter updates to my phone?

I will assume you already have a Twitter account...so I won't be giving you step-by-step instructions on creating an account.

Also before we start...make sure you have an unlimited texting on your phone. Nothing worse than getting a nasty surprise when the bill comes in. That or be careful of who's Tweets you have sent to your phone (details below)

1) Sign into Twitter with your account
2) On the upper right hand corner of your screen, choose "Settings"
3) Choose the "Devices" tab
4) Enter your phone number in the corresponding text box. Assuming you are in the US, leave the country code alone. Your mobile number will look something like 4153368687 (don't worry about parenthesis and dashes)
5) Check the box for "It’s okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone. Standard rates apply"
6) Click the "Save" on the page
7) The page will change and Twitter now gives you further instructions
7a) Double check the phone number. Make sure it is correct
7b) Using your phone, sent a text (not MMS) to the number provided by Twitter (in my case it is 40404) with the provided code on the screen
8) If the above steps have been performed correctly, you should get a text back from Twitter (via whatever number it was you sent the text to) saying Twitter has verified your phone.

You have now successfully paired your phone with Twitter...but we're not done.

Refresh the Twitter page on your browser.
You should still be in the Mobile section of your Settings. If not, navigate your way back there. I highly recommend you set the "Sleep" period and check the box to "Turn off updates during these hours". Nothing worse than getting Tweets from your friends who are up late or in another time zone. Don't forget to click "Save"

Now go back to your main page (click "Home" on the navigation bar at the top")

Now..under your usericon/username on the right navigation bar, you should see where it says how many people you are following, how many are following you, and whatnot.

You will want to click on "# Following" where # is how many people you are following.

Now you will get a list of all the people you are following. It is at this page that you will select who's updates will get sent to your phone.

It is a little dim...but off-right from the center is a little circle with a mobile phone icon. You can click this icon to toggle it on and off.

If it is gray, then you will NOT get updates to your phone for this person.
If it is green, you WILL get updates sent to your phone for this person.

With that...you are done and set!

PS: Keep in mind things may change. Previously when I set it up, the Mobile Update per person was a radio button for "On" and "Off"
