How can I tell my christian friend in a nice way not to use social media?
She is a "baby christian" and I feel like these things can tempt her to be influenced by others who are of dubious character and also could be a outlet for gossip. I feel like only mature christians could handle it and she is not there yet.

You should let people do whatever they want. Don't be so controlling.

Are you worried that us Atheists are going to pull her to the dark side?
You should be. Tell her the truth, tell her that she will be tempted away from the faith because she has not been brainwashed enough yet. |

I predict this question is going to get a sh*t storm response. You may want to look away now.

Although I agree with the others, that ultimately she should learn for herself and live her life. However, to genuinely answer your question I would say to just explain that to her calmly and rationally. Explain why you would rather her not use them because of those concerns and that it may deviate her from the path of God.
Good luck. |

All I can say to this is that you are not the judge of if someone is a "baby" or "mature" Christian. Only God can do that.
Social media is also a great way for her to stay in contact with her friends if she needs them or if they need her. In social media you can pick and choose who you talk to and she should be mature enough know who she shouldn't be talking to. |

Dubious types can be influencing anywhere. You'd be better off teaching her to verify things she's told.
