Young Entrepreneur Business Banking? 5 Stars?
Hello,
I'm starting up my own little social media business. And I have my business plan typed out, and I actually have investors. Now, because I am a minor and I don't really feel like waiting for my parent to help me with this, I am not sure on how to go about banking the investments. I do have a savings account, under my moms. But this is a project I kind of want to do alone so, do I need to go to my bank about opening up a business bank account? Would they even let me, because I am a minor? Is there any way I can get around this problem? Thanks. Ads |

1. Please read an article entitled "How to Get Business Bank Account for Minors".
2. In sum, your parents' permission will be required for opening a business account as you are a minor: ---"...many banks will not allow minors, under 18 years old, to open a bank account. Some may allow you to open a bank account only if you have your parent's permission and consent - that is, if they're willing to be accountable for anything you may do wrong. For a teenage entrepreneur, it is important to find a reputable bank that will let you have your own bank account." 3.
