Did Demi Lovato lie by saying that she's not dating anyone?

I know Demi has said in interviews that she's single and not going to date anyone for a whole year. But on Twitter, there's been tweets saying that Demi and Wilmer are dating and they spend the Christmas together...I'm confused! Are Wilmer and Demi dating or not?

probably not because people make up a bunch of rumors about celebrities I also heard she was dating niall from 1d but she isn't and nothing they say can be proven unless one of them confesses or gets a picture of them.

Just because they spend Christmas together doesn't automatically mean they are dating. They just might still be good friends . Some people stay friends after they break up.
But I don't think they are spending Christmas together. She went home to Texas
Plus unless Demi or Wilmer posted they are spending Christmas together how would they know they are.And since neither posted they are nobody can really know that
