I mean is this guy gay??? What do you guys think and why?

Alright. Ook i know there is NO WAY to know if someone is gay just by looking at them. Hear me out though. First of all, im gay, but only a handful of people know. Recently ive taken a liking to this guy who doesn't know Im gay. Anyway, heres the thing. If he is straight, (which is ok ill get over it) he's...different. I really can't explain it. There are signs that he might be gay (or bi) and signs that he may be straight. Let me know what you think.
Signs that he may be straight
-He carries a gun whenever he goes out. (yeah its weird)
-Claims he loves guns and would be able to kill someone if he absolutely had to.
-Bold and confident
-He was engaged to a woman at one point but they broke it off (unclear why)
-Likes country music (doesnt mean anything)
-Was overprotective over his fiance/wouldnt let her be with other guys
-Talks about girls he dated
-Talks about ways he would ask a girl out
-Talks about girls that he likes
-Had past girlfriends\went on dates
-Talks a little about football on facebook/twitter but lives with a bunch of guys who watch it
-Other day, he enjoyed chopping up wood to help make a fire (prob doesnt mean anything)
-Acts very manly and straight
-Loves to play hockey, and running
signs he may be gay
-He's like 29, very good looking, not married, no girlfriend
-Takes way too long picking out a pair of jeans at the mall
-Asked me to help him pick out a pair of jeans in the mall. After narrowing it down to three pairs, he had me come back to the dressing room so he could walk around in them. Asked what i thought.
-I think he owns a hair dryer
-Dresses nice to everything he goes to
-Talked about what show an actress was from on a movie...it was Gossip Girl (?)
I MEAN obviously theres more...but i just dont know. I DONT KNOW :\ what are you guys thinking from what i told you? And what signs can I look for in the future? Please please PLEASE help me out here... thanks!
