The best place i have found to start out a free website is http://www.WebStarts.com?aff=loadedmower7.

This site will help you be on your way to do whatever you please with it. Webstart offers a great range of tools you can use to better enhance the looks, sounds, and overall appearance of your new website. Adding videos, pictures, music, text, and widgets is a piece of cake! The tools are extremely easy to use and have many extra gadgets to make your webpage even more unique.

While you can start your own website for free, upgrading to Webstart pro can be more beneficial if you are looking to further enhance your website and the traffic it receives. Webstart also offers free hosting and you get your very own Webstart address!

Hope this helps and good luck with building your website!

I just built my website with this great service called WebStarts ( http://www.WebStarts.com?aff=raj.scorp). This provides you with everything you need to make a free website. You can edit and design the website as per your liking as its got very powerful inbuilt tools which also allow you to post streaming videos, pictures and sound tracks. I would highly recommend it.
