Have the National Socialists effectively shifted from focus from the collapsing economic to social issues?

For the cheap seats of political comprehension: Progressives ARE the modern face of National Socialism.

Will hot button social issues like gun control, abortion, and gay marriage effectively take the spotlight off the Obama Administration's failure to even CONSIDER reigning in spending?

I do not see much of a shift in the objectives of Progressives.
Their objectives have always been More Elitist Government Power. Higher taxes. More handouts to those who live like parasites. Less responsibility for citizen who cause harm and Less Liberty and fewer rights for Responsible citizens.
Debt is unimportant to them. Once the real economic systems collapse their Socialist System of Dominance and Control takes over.
Always remember: Socialism is NOT an economic system it is a Control system.
Tyranny will result.
The only "difference" is the coverage of issues by the Mainstream Media Propaganda Machine. They switch their coverage according to the dictates of their Puppet Masters.
