Why do some guys act like this?

I noticed that whenever a guy is interested in you or wants your attention he does all kinds of silly things like he make jokes or raises his voice as if he is yelling or screaming to his friends when your around. I get what its like to want to get the attention of someone you like because I have done it in the past especially in high school. What I don't get is why some guys even waste their time in trying to get a girl's attention who doesn't even talk to them?

If the same girl is not paying you any mind or walking past you like you don't exist and this continues on for the next few months or even years, what does that mean?

If she doesn't text, call, Facebook, Twitter, Email, IM, or videochat with you, what makes you think that she is interested in having a relationship with you?

I know some guys like girls so much that they actually wait for the girl to approach them by talking about them or saying mean, dumb things about them to their friends. To be honest, why is it that the guy can't get over himself and find another girl to like?

If there are other girls in the world than why would he waste time with that one person who is not associating or communicating with him?

Do they feel as though they are in an MJ video and continue to pursue the girl even though she walks past him like he is a statue?

I know it worked for MJ but he was talented and the girls loved him. But can it work for all men?

I appreciate real men who know the right way to get a girl and try to introduce themselves even though they don't have an actual relationship but the guys who don't and feel that they can get a girl by saying mean, hurtful comments and having thier friends laugh are not right.

So what is better for a guy to do, Get over the girl and move on to others who will pay attention to them or continue to pursue the same girl even though she embarrased you by not speaking to you?
