How can I remember my facebook password without resetting it ?

I forgot my facebook password, I know my email password so I clicked on forgotten password on facebook , but facebook only allows me to reset the password, I dont want to change it , I just want to remember the password without changing it ! In the past they used to send a mail with the password to my email, I really need to know and remember the password without changing it

There's no way you can get your password back, you have to reset it now. I suggest you write it down somewhere after!

Unless you wrote the password down in a notebook, you won't find your "original" password that you used. Facebook can only reset your password to a "generic" type password through your email address that's on file, so that you can use that password to log onto your facebook page and change the password to one you desire. Facebook will not under any circumstances give you the old password, only a password that you can reset after entering your account. If you don't write these things down, you'll be going through this quite a bit.
