Just started a blog any advice?

Hi i just started a blog on blogger. Does anyone have any tips? I sgined up to Monetize (try ti get money from ads). does anyone have tips on how to do it ?? i wouldnt mind making a living off my blog. it is in the raw food / weight loss arena. thanks

1. Make sure it's search engine optimized
2. Submit it to a fair number of blog directories to gain visibility
3. Connect it to Social Media networks so that your posts can be published through different social networks
4. Allow users to share your articles.
5. Update timely. At least one article a week.
6. Connect it to a traffic tracking system like Google Analytics so you can gauge where your visitors are coming from.
