How do people get so many Tumblr Followers?

I made a tumblr a few weeks ago, I've been posting for every day since then. I have 6 followers. I gained 5 of them over the weekend. So I need some more followers. What do you other tumblrers do to get more followers?

To get more followers, promote yourself like you're doing on here, and do it also on your Twitter or Facebook. Ask people at school/work if they have Tumblr, and if they want to follow you. Also tag your posts, people find your pics easier that way which then leads them to look at your blog! Reblog follow trains, and follow random people and most usually follow back. :] And always stay active! You'll keep your followers that way.
