On the day we broke up, he invited his friends over and took loads of pics of them (not himself) and kept updating his twitter as if they were having a fab time. He'd mentioned his friend in a tweet, little did he know I clicked on the link and his friend had posted a pic if my ex and their other friend asleep and it was only 11pm. Now he keeps 'overdosing' on junk food, comfort eating, not been with his friends (in his house mostly) and tweeting how he can't sleep. Is he upset over the break up? It was mutual, although we usually get back together and I do still love him. He's also still following me

Guys handle things differently than girls. There is this picture that shows how a guy and girl handle a breakup. At first the girl is crying, and moping around and eating ice cream, then months later she looks happy and carefree. On the other hand, the guy acts carefree in the beginning as if he is FREE! And then later on the feelings catch up to him and he is sad. So your question reminded me of this dont worry. I'm sure he's hurting deep down inside and isnt showing it. Guys have a hard time showing their feelings.

Yes, he is hurting bad. He is turning to junk food for comfort. He has tried to put a brave fave on for his mates to make on that he is fine and loving the single life, but he is not. Its all a front. Us guys feel the need to be all macho and pretent to be care free but we hurt just as much as women.

Only you can decide if you want to get back together with him, but please do not get back with him for pity's sake. It will only end in disaster.
