[URGENT] What does this mean?

Well, there is this girl i REALLY like, and I don't know if she likes me back... i've been in love for about eight years... and haven;t given up.
So firstly, I am always nervous and act awkward around her, BUT... she acts the same; her best friend wrote on my twitter "[MY NAME IN CAPS] LOVES [CRUSHES NAME IN CAPS], the conversation went on and on and she eventually said this is awkward and it's always been awkward around us.
When I talk to other girls around her... or flirt, i guess, she get's all annoyed? and reacts with ignoring me, or speaking with eveyr male in the class but me... yes, it's what we ALWAYS do.
A week or so back, I thought she was angry at me, and avoiding me... but instead, she thought I WAS angry at her, this was a mistake... but do girls care if you're angry or not at them?(that is if you don't like the guy?)
All her friends say to me "Ask her out, who knows? You may get a yes!" does this mean that they know she likes me?
She claims that i'm a flirt with all the reasons stated above...
She says that she likes another guy, but when anyone around me and her says the fact she likes him, she punches them, but when i'm at a distance she doesn't.
She looks at me in classes, and when I look back at her (it's rare, I promise you) she looks away REALLY quickly.
She asked me to walk with her a couple of weeks back, and I did, but I stayed silent as it was a REALLY short walk.
When both of us walk pass each other, I always face the left or right whilst she faces the other, avoiding eye contact... I avoid contact because i'm just nervous.. but why does she?
When i'm NOT around, she always talks in this kind of crazy voice, but when I AM around, she talks in her calm and un-crazy (if that's a word) voice, which is a deepish warm sound.
I have a feeling she does want to start a conversation with me ALOT but just can't, I know I am suppose to, but.. well, she is just so different.
Alot of people tell me to go sit at the table she does for lunch (meaning her friends that SIT THERE), but I don't because there is this guy I don't get along with well (you see, the girl he likes has had crushes on me and what not), and it's like this popular table; I could get in and sit down, but the guy is such a douche bag and I kinda hate him... it's like he always has this grudge against me...
How do I start a conversation with her, it's awkward, around any other girls, I can DEFINITELY talk easy with them, but this girl is different, I can hardly say a thing.
The first thing I want to do is: go up to her and talk; the talk will include some sort of sorry and a bit where I tell her how I feel, i'm not this sort of guy, so can you guys help me out?

Well first of all, you seem to have the most stereotypical school I have ever read about. But about your questions. She likes you. You talked to her friends about asking her out? She knows you like her. That's just the way girls are. They gossip, especially when it involves their friends. Just ask her out. If her friends said that she may say yes, then they know that she likes you too and will say yes. Just ask her out already. But I would like to say that you're 14. It is not the end of the world and you've really liked her for 8 years? Since you were 6? Yeah right. But go for it anyways. If she does say no... like I said, its not the end of the world. You'll be okay.
