Not only have extensive background checks but attend an ethics and morality class combined with firearm safety classes.

Hint: The ethics and morality class would be very conservative bias. (which would be a GOOD thing)

I'm only half-way kidding here, because for one, I haven't even seen a conservative on the news effectively classify weapons into logical categories. I keep hearing ridiculous terms like "clip" and "military features". Liberals simply have no idea what they are talking about, I actually hope they stay in the dark until they want see and understand real violent crime statistics.

It is a useless argument to try and explain the importance of absolutes in principles. Drugs and fatherless boys, media, decline of christian values, etc. and the combined impact of such things on our society.

There is no doubt about extensive background checks. Have doctors determine whether they are suitable to own a gun or not. Hell, what do we know?

I really don't think it has anything to do with conservatism.

They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong federal government to enslave its people with the high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary (not to mention unconstitutional) social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the upper class. In effect: To overthrow the constitution by destroying the basic guarantees of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that its framers ingrained into it.
