have a commercial start out like Passion of the Christ with Jesus carryng the cross all sweaty and getting wipped.

Then have him go WAIT!!

He pulls out the soft drink, takes a refreshing drink and presto!

You'll be bigger then Pepsi with that commercial

If you make it put my name in the credits xD

I assume this is your homework for a business marketing course. People are brand loyal but they are also health conscious, curious about new products and willing to try anything "new".

If it was me, I would be an emphasis on natural ingredients, the lack of all the nasty carmel and coloring that is found in cola products (it stays in your body up to 12 yrs) and a new clever container....how about a short squatty can that fits perfectly in the new dodge dash coolers? How about a pull tab that is shaped like different characters so you would collect the plastic discs for some game, prize or other novelty. When I was a kid there were sherbert popsicles that had these plastic disc in them and all the kids loved finding them. Not sure why but ppl like free stuff. A splash of nickelodeon style h umor on the outside of the can does wonders (look at Sobe drinks it works for them).

Then I would make my target market....people at work...who need a moment of fun in their day..... Good luck .

I would encourage the use of social media. Take some time to think of some good ideas that could make their way onto youtube.com as a video. The content would definitely depend on your demographic. Humor and poking fun at yourself are both great ways to get started on ideas. Youtube videos do not have to be expensive to be effective. Consider hiring a top area comedian or humor writer as an advisor if you don't have the right ability.

One excellent idea is to find videos related to your market and post some great video responses. Look for those with high viewer rates but a small number of video responses. This will get you a piece of the main video's pie. Parody is a great idea there.

If you have a specific advantage over other sodas you can use paid search and use the competitors' brands as keyword triggers ( though you cannot use their brand names in the ad text itself.) This can get expensive, so you need to think it through well. Many pay-per-click ad networks have a content network inside which you can choose demographic targeting.

Myspace, facebook and similar sites are a wonderful place to get involved, but you cannot just go in there with your "advertising guns blaring" - you need to participate for months building your profiles.

The advertising networks on myspace and facebook can also bring targeted demographic traffic to your offer page - which you should optimize using split-testing.

Nothing beats pounding the pavement! I'm assuming you're a small company, so call the managers of local restaurants/pubs/bars etc. and ask for a meeting. Bring samples and ask if they would be willing to carry your products.

You can do the same for local indipendent supermarkets and specialty food stores.

Good luck!
