How to change your yahoo picture without Facebook or twitter?

Hi, how do you change your yahoo answers profile picture without using a social network like Facebook or twitter? Because my mum isn't gonna let me have one till im 14... So can we upload pictures or what? Plz help, I am sick of that exclamation mark picture. I have seen other people with their own pictures. Thanks! And ps, i already know how to change it but how do i upload a pic?

For a pic or an avatar.
Go to edit my preferences at the right of your avatar click update photo or avatar. You can get an avatar at http://avatars.yahoo.com/home.php?g=fIn the box that opens select add photo or customize avatar. Follow the instructions and job done.
Make sure your pulse is not set to private as that stops it from appearing.
To add gif avatars follow this http://avatarsdb.com/
There are problems at the moment so make sure you do it correctly and be patient for 24-48 hours
