Do you feel that making friends was easier in the 90s,80's, and 70's than it is now?

It seems like everyone is to caught up in social media and cell phones to make friends.

Friends are no longer important. People who were confident enough to be stable by themselves were considered uncool and weird.. Ppl used to constantly have to be with friends
Now it's the other way round. In the future people won't have friends. It's become a very narcissitc self centered world where people are only interested in their progress.. And theirs only

No making friends is easier now a days than it was back then because of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace..etc but keeping friendship strong for a long time was easier back in the time because social media does a terrible job in ruining friendships, like before you would take your bike and head to a friend's place and have fun with them but now you just text your friend and it usualy ends with a 'K' which is terrible
