How do i change my xbox gamer tag on my windows 8 computer?

I just got a new Dell with Windows 8 and when it asked for an email I gave it a different email than I use for xbox live. it gave me a default gamer tag and said I could change it once for free. so I looked online on how to change it and it says to start by hitting the home button on my keyboard while in the Games app. I hit the home button and don't see a menu like it describes. how do I change it

Below are the steps to change a gamer tag within Windows 8.

Gamertag
If you are an Xbox 360 user, you can purchase a Gamertag change in the Xbox LIVE Games Store for 800 Microsoft Points. To change your Gamertag, follow these steps:
1.Go to the Social section of the Dashboard.
2.Highlight your avatar, and then press the A button.
3.Select Change Gamertag.
4.On the Change Gamertag screen, read the information about changing your gamertag, and then select Continue.
5.On the Enter Gamertag screen, make the changes that you want.
6.Confirm the purchase of 800 Microsoft Points.
