How do I get more facebook friends?

How do I get more facebook friends? I currently have 26 friends which I know is pathetic. My own relatives have turned down friend requests from me. My dad always wanted to talk too much, he was always repeating stuff and not getting the story right and he seemed to have this knack for being about to contribute to any conversation when he knew nothing about the subject so it kind of got us ejected. My dad had to work with people all day long and didn't want to see anyone when he got home so you can say my parents were very anti-social.

My parents had this thing about organizations - my dad hated them no mater what they were about and the few times he tried to join something, it ended badly. I was pretty much discouraged from doing anything because my dad didn't think anything was worth doing. Anytime I trying joining something, all I ever hear was "you need to just quit", "stop wasting time with that", "it's not going to earn you any money, just quit".

One organization I currently joined wanted me to re-post their stuff on facebook which is a laugh. I decided to humor them and got several "that's stupid" responses back. Several of my 26 friends thought I should dump that organization because they said it was a stupid organization that has no real purpose. I admit some of them I put on there just so I could say that I had a couple of friends, but by all rights I should unfriend them.

I am now faced with stuff I'm supposed to repost and the only people who care are already in the organization, so I think it's mostly useless. My question is how do I get more friends on facebook so I don't look so pathetic? Would I be better off just deleting my facebook page because I'm a hopeless cause?

do what i did! tell people that if you get enough likes then your gonna post a vid of you eating your tampin, or something like that. and make them add people so you can get like, 100 likes! so then when you have that make the vid and youll become famous like me and youll get alot of friend requests. and maybe youlll be grounded but thats temporary and fame is for EVAAHHH <3
