Should I change barns ?
Okay, so I currently have my American Saddlebred boarded at an Equestrian Center thay has only Arabians. Hes the only Saddlebred! I'm thinkin' I should switch, because she got my old Saddlebred/Saddleseat instructor and trainer to help her with him. She doesnt really know much about the breed and how to train. I want to ride so bad, but she always wonts to be there, & i never do anything myself even when I ask numerous amounts of times. She gives me a lesson a week (if that, cause shes always bisy or not answerong me when i do wont to come(. When i wont to do somethin',shes got other pkans and does it on her time and her watch. All this is getting old, & im sick of it. Shes a nice girl and all, & seens to know a great deal of information .. but not the kind i need. What to do?

****** AND P.S FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER! Smile @Saddleseat88
Please. & thanks guys ! Always love your help.
Oh yeH im paying 500 a month for stall, cleaning, feeding and water, working & TRAINING. So yeah... alot of cash that is going out!! And no, with Saddlebreds its not just another horse your training its a little more to it. Lol. But training any horse in any dicipline is a challenge! Certaintly.

any horse trainer knows how to train horses, its not breed specific with different tactics for different breeds. if its a nice yard and the other owners are friendly, if rent is reasonable and its run efficiently stay where you are!

I say switch. She may be a nice person but if your paying money to keep your horse there and for lessons and your not getting proper treatment then it's not worth the money and your time. Find somewhere that knows about your breed and style of riding and someone that will give you that attention you need

Hello My mother and father are horse trainers and Heres what I think Smile the trainer seems like shes nice but she can't tell U that U can't ride YOUR HORSE! I mean that's out of line and If she doesen't know that much about the breed U should probibly find a different Trainer. bc It's inportant that the trainer knows allot about the bread of horse U ride bc thay need to know that kind Of bread moves and how to train them naturally Instead of making It worse Smile as far as leaving the barn that's Up too U. If the stabling there Is and good pastures and everything ells Is good Thin U don't have to leave but If U wan't to leave that's Perfictlly fine and totally Yout disision Smile Let me know If this helps Smile

Quit riding altogether and spend that $500 on an English tutor. Jesus H. Christ, my neighbour's retarded son Chad has better spelling and grammar.

Wait, she won't let you ride by yourself?

I'd be like "lady, it's MY horse. I can ride whenever I damn want." Unless there are barn rules of course that you can't be alone under a certain age like 16 or 18 and you happen to fall into those parameters. Then it's purely a safety rule and not a bad one, in my mind.

Granted $500 isn't a bad deal for stall boarding that includes grain and training, it doesn't sound like she's training your horse.

You lose me at "she got my old Saddlebred/Saddleseat instructor and trainer to help her with him." So does that mean she currently has your previous instructor involved right now? Give her some credit for doing that, I know some trainers who would never dream of asking help. If you like the barn, is it possible to have a trainer come out to your barn and work with you there?
