Can I get in trouble for reporting someone as deceased on Facebook?

My friend is being a real prick on Facebook lately and I thought it would be funny to report him as dead to Facebook to get back at him. I have read that it can be quite the hassle to get the account back under your control. I was wondering if I can get in trouble with face book for falsely reporting someone as dead, and also if the person I report as dead will be able to see that it was me who did it.

Anyone know?
Will they know it was me?

No, they shouldn't know it was you, and it probably won't happen unless multiple friends report it.

You could get in trouble with anything these days, but people report things all the time whether it is true or not.

Or, you could always use the "i really thought he was dead excuse"

I would not advise doing this as false reports can lead to the suspension of your account, and yes you are the reporting person and your profile does show as you being the reporter
