Did you tell people when you went into labour - family?
I didn't want to tell family, I jst wanted to tell them when the babies are here - but we have to tell my mum and dad as hey are looking after my son, so my husband then thinks to be fair he has to ring his mum - who thinks I am being silly - and they agreed to only tell minimal people. I didn't bloody want to tell anyone because then we get phones calls and my husband goes off to give people updates.. grrrrrrrr.

I prefer to have as much privacy as possible. I don't plan on calling anyone until after I am home from the hospital. After spending so much time in my belly, I want to spend time with my baby uninterrupted by phone calls, people stopping by etc. (You know once the word gets out people will start coming by the hospital unannounced. Or, even worse, just after you get home!)

Everyone is different. Some people constantly give updates on everything they do on facebook, twitter, whatever. That's just not me.

I had my mom call the people I wanted in the delivery room when I found out that I was in active labor. Other then that no one really knew I had the baby till later cause he was born at 1:22am

Yes i told my family when i was in labour. My family makes me laugh every time i am in pain so i had to tell them.Anyways i wanted more people to support me while giving birth.

My experience:

Right it was the night when my son was meant to be born,We went to the hospital Hubby,Me and other family members. My contractions were starting but not that painful yet.We checked in the hospital, got a room and they did stuff.3-4 hrs later my contractions started to get too very painful.Even though my contractions were really painful i kept laughing because my hubby and family were making funny faces i couldn't help it but laugh. Before you knew it it was time to push i was still laughing through my son's birth. My son was here 4-5 hrs later.

See so you know sometimes its nice to tell your family when the big day is.

Hope this helped.
