Has anyone noticed that men are way more homophobic than women?
Im a gay guy and all of my freinds are females!! Never in my life havd i ever had a guy freind who was straight and acceppted me as a freind ive never even had a gay guy freind! I really think females are more accepting to us gay guys than guys are!! Homophobia does come from females though but ive always noticed that guys are worse with it!! Theres always a homophobic guy on twitter, facebook, around me saying he hates gay people or if his child were to ever be gay he would disown his child or kilk his child!! Its sad because the female society including us gay guys who are fem happen to be way ahead of these guys!! This proves that girls are smarter than a lot of guys this means the feminim and female society is actually outshining the male society! O_o the world is getting dumber because of this!

Duh. That's pretty obvious.
However, there are of course exceptions to every rule. I'm a gay guy, and most of my best friends are straight males.

Its true, but don't think all men are homophobic. men look at the males as strong manly men lol. so when they find out that there gay its kind of demeaning I guess. I am a gay male and I dont think my dad cares.

I honestly... Seriously... Don't think so. Yes, there are many outspoken male homophobes, but I've encountered just as many women who were against gays (even if they had gay "friends"). The difference between them and male homophobes are... Women aren't as likely to be open about it. I don't profess my sexual orientation unless asked, but I've heard** women make very degrading and ugly comments about gay men and lesbians, and they would attempt to dismiss their prejudice by saying things like: "I have gay friends, so I'm not a homophobe.", "My aunt/uncle is gay, I have no problem with gays... I just don't like them.", and the ultimate annoying quote "Hate the sin, but love the sinner." I had one stupid b*tch tell me she had plenty of lgbt friends, but they aren't allowed to be around her children... Since we'll "introduce" her toddlers to our "lifestyle(s)" -- Disgusting.

{{Don't be so quick to assume things, I was told these things by people who I assumed were good/supportive, and I hate that I ever gave any of them an ounce of my time or support when they needed me.

I agree with you to an extent. But don't put a shining light on all females and forget about certain guys that you don't know. Why you may ask? Because some girls are homophobic and some guys accept guys who are gay just fine. I've met many.

A great deal of homophobes are gay themselves, so this question has an obvious answer.
Male homosexuality is a lot more discriminated against than female homosexuality in a general sense, so most guys aren't that encouraged to come out of the closet. Hence, they do their best to steer clear of openly gay people out of fear that they might be exposed if they become attracted. And of course with their great cover-up comes posting homophobic comments and ranting about how "sinful" and "disgusting" gays are at every turn.

Guys tease each other about who we choose to hang out with. If you are seen talking to a girl? The story will be that your sleeping with her. So.....if your hanging out with a gay dude? That equals your gay. I know. Not right but that is our society
