Does anyone know how I can explain to my dad that Facebook can't ruin your computer!?

k this is kinda lame I know I'm from Canada and my old man resides in new Zealand... he's getting older and not so computer savvy but I want him on fb so my family here can keep in touch with him.... he claims that Facebook f-cks up his computer... of course I'm not there to slap him and tell him it's a website that's like blaming google for showing u fish pictures when u type in "fish pictures" how can I explain to him it's just a site he says it crashes his computer and all this crap then he says he takes it to techs that say Facebook is the cause... is this even possible like WTF any help would be appreciated.. I just wanna know how I can explain to him that it's not a virus it's not even software u fownload it's just a website that's it....

You can't fix stupid, sweetheart, or maybe he's not stupid and he just doesn't want you on facebook because of the stories he's read about privacy concerns on facebook.
