I have no referrals dead on...?
This is for a social worker who's been in business for 25+ years and since things are changing... Needs many ideas as possible to figure out why I am not getting referrals (new clients) on a daily bases.
We have gone through our insurance companies one by one to see if there are anything that we have missed and needs to be updated. CAQH has confirmed one small mess up and that was I wasn't accepting Medicare. So we changed that and made it a YES that I accept clients on Medicare. That was fixed two weeks ago. No improvements.
All the other therapists in the office have most of the same training as me, and they are doing fine.
Each insurance we have reviewed online with my business name is all current. I've checked to see if my name had a bad rating and all I see are good ratings.
These are the major Insurance companies that has my main information:

CIGNA
MAGELLAN
TRICARE
AETNA
BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD

I have a billing company that handles clients paying and all that, they said everything is good.

I am so stumped! No referrals, no solutions.

I am advertised, I'm out there. But no new clients/referrals coming in....

Something is really wrong.

If you can give me ANY ideas, or a phrase I can use to talk with insurance companies to get a more specific answer of why or an idea of what could be wrong.

Needs Doctors, MSW, LCSW, clinical therapist who had a simpliar experiences and how they found the plm and saved themselves from losing the business.

This has been going on for a month and half.

I have googled information about no referrals and it's not helping. Personal experiences seems to be my last hope.

you're right, things are changing and I would have said it's Obamacare except that others are getting referrals. Today in just split seconds a comment is transmitted over twitter, FB, email or the internet blogs or where you get to paste results you got. I'm thinking someone put out a bad word on you and it's spread. As you know unsatisfied clients could be unsatisfied because of what is in their own mind and not that of the professional. But also maybe you don't have a twitter account, a FB account, because you don't text, don't blog, don't have an appealing website with newsletters and such of reference, etc. or maybe the other social workers all belong to an organization where they get references from (have you checked their websites?). Maybe they pay to be on referral lists. Have you recently done a talk at a school, an organization, in front of a group to show off your expertise? Have you written a book and been on a radio show or local tv station promoting it? Are your thoughts and information up-to-date (current as to what's going on in the country)? Are you permitted in your profession to leave calling cards wherever you go? Are you calling yourself a life-coach or some updated name? Do you have a specialty? First step is to find (and pay) one of those companies that checks your reputation online and blocks anything negative. Since there are lots of kids having problems with their friends passing on for one reason or another why not volunteer your services to the school system or to a women's crisis center.

The other situation is that the economy has been very poor since 2008 and moreso in some states and areas. Is there enough work for all of you? Are you being "rated" somewhere? Is there an additional certificate of excellence you need to put on your wall and on your business cards and on your website? Are you working with county/city or state agencies to help out (like work on a payment schedule according to the person's means)? Lots of people need and want assistance just that they can't afford it right now. Another suggestion would be to take a part time weekend job.
