How do I gain more followers on tumblr?

I want more followers, but i'm not one of those people who just repost random crap and tons of 'meaningful photos'. so how do i get more than just my friends to follow? and how do i find other peoples good tumblrs? (post yours if you have one) thanksyou

To get more followers, promote yourself on here, and do it also on your Twitter or Facebook. Tag your posts, people find your pics easier that way which then leads them to look at your blog! Reblog follow trains, and follow random people and most usually follow back. :] And always stay active! You'll keep your followers that way.
And to find interesting blogs, type things in the archive like "cute" or "funny" and it will show you pics posted by people with that tag. Click on the pics source and it will take you to their blog.
