Audio on Dell Inspiron sounding muffled?
I have a dell inspiron laptop. I hooked it up to a HDMI cable to watch a movie and ever since whenever I play music or videos the sound on my laptop goes from being muffled to normal every few seconds. It even happens with headphones in. Anyone know how to fix this?

try re installing your audio driver from dell support website ... You can downoad it by entering your pc's model number on drivers and software page

Amy,

You can click the link below, choose your system and download the audio drivers for your system. You may also want to go to start -run- and type in MSCONFIG. Click the startup tab to see if there may be some program or programs causing the sound to be muffled. Example would be some newly installed software, any codecs you may have also download. If there are any you can uncheck them and restart the computer.
You can uninstall the driver and reinstall it from the link below.
