Static coming from computer speakers?
i own a dell dimension 5150 -- intel pentium 4 @ 2.80GHz and whenever i plug my headphones in any jack (front jack, rear jack, external speaker jack) I get a static type noise. It's not ear busting loud but it's not super quiet either though, my external speakers, even when everything is cranked to the max, i do not hear any static. The headphones are just fine as i have tried them on my other computer (which sits directly in line with my other computer). Please help!
did i mention that it's a 64 bit operating system and running windows seven professional?

Hello Antonio Legatos,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

I would suggest you to try using another set of headphones on this system and verify if you get any static.
If the issue persists, follow the link below to download the sound driver for your system.
