How long does it take for a new twitter account to appear in search results and people search in twitter site?
I just have signed up my twitter account today and I find my profile is unsearchable on google and twitter's people search.. Will it appear soon or do I need to do something?

There is no time limit, once google crawler comes to your twitter profile then only it will show your profile in SERP.
