Do you agree with me about why my generation is completely twisted?
I hate my generation. I am a freshman in college, and this is the world I see:

1. That terrible, awful music. Today's music is God awful. (The music that is played everywhere, I mean). It gives off two very negative ideas towards teens/young adults; that A) You should always be reliant on a boyfriend or a girlfriend and that B) Booties and hoes, yeah, got dat swagg, boiii. Talentless rappers with lame voices and pathetic rhymes. It PAINS me that people pay money for this garbage.

2. The internet has taken over social standards. I mean people are asking questions like "should I text this back to him?" When they should be asking "what should I tell him at school tomorrow?" That's just one example to name a few.

3. The idea and example of what a person should look and act like is this made-up fairy tell deemed to be real. For example, watching movies or television shows, where every single person happens to be incredibly attractive and flawless in their appearances. This gives the idea that if you don't look like these movie stars, you are not beautiful.

If you disagree with any of the above three, you are wrong. What else do you see wrong with today's generation? I am so sick and tired of today's society.

P.S.: I know I bashed on the internet as a social standard, and by me using Yahoo! Answers, I am not being a hypocrite, because Yahoo! Answers is not a social standard, just a fun website to enjoy.
@ Bobby

I never said texting was an internet tool. But now that I think about it, texting and the internet are greatly connected.

Also, read my P.S. again. Facebook HAS become a social standard. Everybody has one, well, most people have one. Y!A on the other hand, is far less popular. Ask a handful of people if they use Y!A, and I guarantee you that 9/10 are not Y!A users.

I agree with everything you said. I'm especially tired of the internet taking over social standards. People are more concerned with how many Facebook friends they have and how many likes they have on their redundant pictures than anything else in life.

1. Taste for music is different for different people. You should really not get annoyed just because other people are into another musice genre you dont like. You are just being narrow minded.Frankly i like hip hop and rap and hate pop but the people listening or singing pop/country genre doesnt annoy me.Get over it.

2.I totally agree with you.Its sad to see that trolls are increasing day by day and i have seen far more worst question like ' am i hot' or 'rate me out of 10' and im like 'really'?????I just use Facebook to connect with my friends and not miss anything and occasionally Y!A bcoz as you have mentioned its fun!

3.If anybody does that then thats just sad.Bcoz everybody have their right to raise their opinion.Personally i think many popular movie stars/entertainers are highly over rated.Well thats my opinion i dont care if any body have another opinion and i really respect that but that doesnt make me not beautiful.

Just try to blend in and dont think that everybody of todays generation are cr*p there are pretty smart people out there ya know!

1. I agree that a lot of the music sucks, but there is good music out there, it just baffles me that it's harder to find the new good music than it is to find the new really bad music.
2. I agree with the point your making but not the example you used. When the internet replaces what would be face to face interaction it's a problem, but if it is someone who you aren't going to see until tomorrow anyway then I see nothing wrong with texting. Besides texting is not an example of using the internet.
3. That's not just our generation, producers and directors have since acting was a profession chosen good looking people because it's what sells. It just so happens that we are now in a technological time when everyone has access to these movies and television shows so more and more people can use them as a standard. But yes I agree that people should not feel like they need to look like a movie star to be beautiful.

As for your P.S.- The only difference between Yahoo! Answers being a social website and facebook is that on Yahoo Answers everybody is a stranger. "Just a fun website to enjoy" could easily be said about facebook and a number of other websites people waste time on. In fact I've spent the last hour and a half on this website when I could have been doing something productive.

I agree with you completely, it seems like as time goes on things are spiraling down and I think the media, the music, new technology and just our surroundings have taking a new turn, one that's not so positive. It seems like morals are lost and the only way success is measured is the amount of money one has. People are influenced how to act, how to talk, what to look like. Texting and phones have taken over where that now, some people have difficulty even talking in person because theyre so used to being behind a screen. It seems like no one is getting fresh air because of this and we're all just wasting our time behind electronics. I don't have a facebook anymore thank goodness. Internet too has taken over. Violence is more than before, people like I say lack morals and certain things are done now that would never be able to have been done many years ago.
