how can i convince my parents to let me get a twitter account?

okay so i only want a twitter to follow sports stuff like: Football, Hockey, etc.
the reason i don't want to ask is because my sister has had a facebook, AND a twitter account with out asking my parents and she got in MAJOR trouble!
so now they don't want anyone having a account on facebook, or twitter! (i've done nothing wrong)
i mean i won't really post anything or put my name up there i just want to follow sports stuff.

i have a YouTube Account and they know, and i love doing it! (i do gaming videos) so it's not like i do anything wrong on there...

i know right from wrong.

i don't know how or IF i should ask my parents! please help!!!!

Tell them exactly that. You're not gonna post anything really, just follow your teams. I know you may not want to, but give them your password so that they can go on your account. If you don't have anything to hide they can get on there. After awhile they will trust you. It worked for me. Hope to see you on Twitter soon lol
