I want to be a journalist but how should i start out?

i feel im a good writer but only when it comes to my journal/diary. i want to write about other things (except politics and religion). im into fashion, makeup, music, and art. Im a cosmetology student. how should i start out? should i look at the social media, magazines, tv shows? any tips for me i would greatly appreciate. Thanks for reading!!

First off you will need to go to college and take as many writing courses as possible so that you can compete better. Second, you can do your own blog for practice and see what feedback you get. Once you graduate college they should be able to help you with your career path to find the kind of job best for your writing skills.
