First make sure you don't have a privacy setting turned on that blocks it from search engines.
Second, you need some other website to link to your blog. Like your Twitter profile can link to your blog, that would do the trick. After that, wait (sometimes up to a few weeks). Your blog will show up (although probably it won't show up high in the search results without some serious SEO). |

AJ gave you the first tip. Have you set your blog to "public"? If yes, does the "ping" work? Did you place there some directions like this (I use them all and more):

If you answer all this questions with yes, then your blog should appear in Google, even without links. My new blogs appear within a week always. If not, there is a mistake somewhere! Yes, add it to the big search engines like google, yahoo and bing. Here are some more ideas for getting traffic to your website (with those tips you alse get lots of backlinks from good pages and search engines would recognize this and add you anyway to their search listings): - PPC (like google adwords) - Video Marketing (especially via YouTube) - here at Yahoo!
