How to convice my parents to get me an iPad?

I want an iPad for my birthday. But in my family money is tight but if I get an iPad I wont want anything else. Because my needs will be fulfilled.

Explain to your parents that Ipads are very powerful and useful devices, and can do a lot of things that other devices cannot. Tell how they can be used for not just 1 or 2 things, but a variety of things such as music, fast internet browsing, games, apps, schoolwork(This a good one), books, videos and a lot more. And for how much it costs, it will be worth it because of the amount of different things it can do and they will last for a long time (As long as it doesn't get broken).
