Why am i getting email notifications if my facebook was deleted?

i have deleted my facebook and i am getting notifications in my email that people have confirmed me as a friend. why do i keep getting these if my account was deleted????? Please HELP!!!!!!!!

Try reactivating your Facebook, see if these notifications are still happening. Or you can google your Facebook account, if it shows try going to it. If you're able to view you're page it's still active

Please follow these instructions:
• Re-enable your Facebook account
• Go to the gear icon on the upper-right corner of your screen
• Choose Account Settings
• Under Account Settings, choose Notifications
• Under Notifications, go to Email
• Choose "Only notifications about your account, security and privacy" and make sure you are unsubscribed from emails about Pokes
• Disable your account

because you have not selected the option which will provide you to not receiving any mails at your email address.....re-enable your account and delete it again and while deleting select the option and then you will not receive any mails...
